Has The Day Finally Come?

Have you heard the rumor that some felons may see their Second Amendment rights restored?

Well, it’s 100% true. President Donald J. Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi and Pardon Attorney Ed Martin are teaming up together to discuss, reinstitute, and revitalize U.S.C. 925(c), which outlines the pathway in which non-violent criminals and non-violent felons can see their right to possess a firearm restored.

We’ve been talking about this for quite some time – for years, in fact, since Clarence Thomas wrote the ruling in the Bruen case in New York.

When the Second Amendment was drafted, it made it clear that this right came with no restrictions. In the 90s, the pathway to see these rights restored was moved and governed by the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Administration under the Department of the Treasury. At that point, it stalled for years.

Now, on Friday, a proposal was submitted to the Federal Register that will take public comment for the next 90 days. It will create a pathway to have your right to bear arms restored through the Department of Justice without having to go through a long process in court.

According to our sources, they will likely only seek to restore those rights for nonviolent felons. But, it appears that the threshold for violence is going to be quite high.

The Department of Justice is also setting up a website meant to help speed up the application process for eligible felons. We will most likely see progress on this front before the end of this year. Stay tuned for more info – we’ll write about it when it comes!
