This Follows Officers Being Exposed To Dangerous Substance

We just received work that three Bureau of Prisons correctional officers at the low security federal prison in Butner, North Carolina, had to seek medical attention last Friday.

They were exposed to a fentanyl-like substance in the Grandville unit. The unit officer, along with two officers who usually work in the education department had to be carried to medical after searching the unit and coming across a fentanyl-like substance.

Unlike is customary at other institutions, the AW decided to only penalize the Granville unit. The rest of the facility is operating as normal.

The Granville unit is on lockdown for an indefinite amount of time.

Federal Prison Tips has learned that they completely cleared the compound after mainline and pill call so that inmates in the Granville unit could eat at the chow hall.

If you haven’t heard from your loved one and they are incarcerated at the low security prison in Butner, specifically the Granville unit, this would be the reason why.
