10,000 Inmates Are Incarcerated Past Their Conditional Release Date?

@federalprisontips

How many inmates in federal prison are taking FSA programming? A lot of naysayers think only a fraction of inmates in federal prison are taking FSA programs but that’s just not the case according to these numbers from the bop #federalprison #federal #prison

Don’t Hold Your Breath For Your Conditional Release Date To Get Fixed

There are currently 119,916 inmates in federal prison enrolled in evidence-based recidivism reducing programs and productive activities as defined by the First Step Act (FSA).

To date, there’s over 10,000 inmates in federal prison who are currently incarcerated past their conditional release dates. Yes, that’s correct.

The problem is real. So real that we’ve personally helped 409 inmates with FSA and Second Chance Act (SCA) issues.

What can you do about it? What can your case manager do about it?

Well, you can keep waiting for your case manager to fix the problem. So far, that strategy isn’t working at 75 federal prisons across the country. The BOP has insisted they’ll start doing it right since June 17th, and the BOP’s administration has no clear strategy in place to crack down on rogue institutions.
