You’ve Lost Enough Mail In Prison – Don’t Let That Happen As You Re-Enter Society

What happened to Founder of Federal Prison Tips, Kyle Sandler, happens to inmates every day. While being from Montgomery to Forrest City, the BOP lost his driver’s license.

When arriving at Butner, Kyle’s case manager demanded his driver’s license again. His mother mailed it in, and when it was time for his release, the R&D department at the prison couldn’t find it, but they were sure it was somewhere and could be mailed to the halfway house.

It never made it to the halfway house, either.

Most people, when headed to the halfway house, are transient. You don’t know how long you’ll be placed in the halfway house, and many inmates don’t know where they’re going after the halfway house. Not having a registered address to work with as you navigate re-entry is very difficult.

If you’re a felon re-entering society in South Florida, you can simply use a new service offered by the 700 Re-Entry Center. It’s a mailbox service, officially approved and sanctioned by the U.S. Postal Service. You can rent a mailbox for $20 per month. You fill out one form with the USPS, and you’re good to go.

This way, until you’re back on your feet, you’ll have a legitimate address to use for receiving mail and filling out forms for things like employment, etc.

This is just one of the services offered by the 700 Re-Entry Center in Dania Beach, Florida, to help inmates re-enter society as smoothly as possible.

If this is a service you could use, just call: 954-777-1702.
