What you want to include is your life story in an abbreviated format. Include, for example, what possibly made you commit your crime, what you’ve learned from your crime, what you’ve done since your arrest and the moment you face the judge for sentencing.
Of course, it needs to be honest. Your focus should be to live in a way that will speak towards the factors the judge is listening for – things that will reduce your likelihood to recidivate, thereby protecting the community from risk of future crimes and demonstrate a willingness for rehabilitation.
