Is Celebrity Federal Inmate Ghislaine Maxwell Still Getting Special Treatment
The Special Treatment allegedly begins with the fact that Ghislaine Maxwell, serving a 20 year Federal Prison Sentence for aiding financier sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, is being housed at a federal prison camp, or so many people think.
The fact of the matter when it comes to Maxwell’s placement is there is no actual “law” passed by Congress in regards to placement other than that the Bureau of Prisons has complete control over designation. As crazy as it sounds, there is no “law” on the books that would bar the Bureau from housing El Chapo at a Federal Prison Camp. Sure there is policy but the courts have ruled time and time again that the Bureau, and other federal agencies, have complete discretion over non binding policy.
But now The Mirror.com is reporting that Maxwell isn’t just getting extra phone minutes, she’s getting “double the phone minutes” that every other inmate in federal prison is getting. Although the mirror incorrectly reported 300 minutes (federal inmates who are programming to their needs get 510 minutes), that is the same total number throughout the bureau.
Is it true though?
Themirror is suggesting it and they are citing an unnamed inmate and other sources at FPC Bryan. Technically speaking there is no conduit in place to easily provide that service for Maxwell other than borrowing other inmates PAC numbers or using a non-inmate phone.
Themirror.com also alleges that Maxwell has been able to play with service dogs, has special meals and they are brought into here by “Senior Federal Prison Officials”.
Themirror’s sources include Democratic Lawmaker Jamie Raskin who has called for an investigation into the way the Bureau is treating Maxwell in comparison to other federal prison inmates.
