Compassionate Release

Compassionate Release Could Be Right For Your Inmate

In 2023 the United States Sentencing Commission increased the overall usage of compassionate release to include: the health of the inmate, caregiving to the inmates children, unable to provide selfcare in the prison environment, unusually long sentencing, sentencing disparity and anything else in a “catch all” for “extraordinary and compelling circumstances.

In 2025 we had 11 Compassionate Releases granted for a variety of reasons. There is a lot that goes into a compassionate release motion and they aren’t an easy undertaking. However our friendly staff in our writing department has lots of experience and understands the ins and outs of compassionate release.

Here are some of the reasons that some of the compassionate release motions we’ve prepared have been granted:

  • Debilitating illness of the inmate
  • Taking care of the inmates children when the mother passed away
  • The BOP was unable to provide proper mental health care
  • Unusually long sentence
  • We’ve had a number of compassionate releases granted (3582c2) for changes in guideline amendments

Ready to Move Forward

It takes us 30 business days to prepare the original motion. The cost also includes the reply. Once its finished we mail it priority/legal mail to the inmate in prison for their review and to sign and send to court. No worries we send it with detailed instructions including the weight. We post it all in mycase so you can reference it later.

What You Need To Know

Federal Prison Tips is good, real good, in 2025 we helped 423 inmates get home under FSA/SCA and over 300 get off supervised release, however we are not attorneys we are paralegals and legal support professionals only. And of course like all other companies that do this work the only guarantee that we can make is that we will do the work and it will be done well. We can not guarantee outcomes because in court even a bad day could change a judges mind.
