Snitching On Moms, Snitching on Partners The Opioid Pandemic Was Messier Than It Seemed

Federal Prison Tips founder and host of Beyond The Narrative: Crime and Punishment, sat down with Jason Votrobek, one of the money men behind the nationwide opioid pandemic that originated in Florida.

The George brothers are the most well known names when it comes to the opioid pandemic which saw millions of Americans drive from all over the country to Florida to “Doctor shop” for opioids to feed their addictions. It started with the George brothers clinics called “American Pain” in South Florida but the competitive opioid game became nearly deadly until just about everyone completely bitched out.

When it all came crashing down, the documentary “American Pain” and the American Greed episode chronicling the rise and fall of “pill mills” in South Florida, shows brother Chris George begging his girl to take the fall for him because she’d get less time. Ultimately the George brothers told on their own mother, who did time, and had 23 rule 35’s between the two of them.

Kyle sat down with Jason Votrobek for an intense interview about Zach Rose and Jason’s business that was in fierce competition with the George’s. It was a dog eat dog world but in the end even Zach got on the stand to testify against Jason, to reduce his own time.
