During the first part of my Federal Prison bid (years 1-5) I was a cut up. It took a little while for me to get adjusted. During my time at FPC Montgomery I received 7 smoking shots, 1 cell phone shot and a shot for something within my “lifestyle”. It’s these behaviors which caused me to serve my time across 5 different institutions and 3 security levels.
I did my Federal Time at
- FPC Montgomery (minimum) 2018-2021
- Forrest City Low September 21-November 21
- Forrest City Medium November 21-February 16, 2022
- Atlanta Low
- Butner Low
When I first arrived at FPC Montgomer (often times called “Maxwell) I had a chip on my shoulder. I thought I was better than everyone else and basically IDGAF. I received 7 smoking shots which are 300 series shots. I received a 200 series shot and then a 108 which is called “hazardous tool” but everyone know it’s the “cell phone shot”.
It took me a while to learn my lesson, however I was released as the 8th man out of the BOP under First Step Act on February 16, 2022.
When I was moved from FPC Montgomery to Forrest City Low I was under what’s called a “management variable” because I still had camp points but I had to go to a low because of the cellphone shot. Management variables in the BOP last for 18 month.
Because I violated 6 month out, when I arrived back at the BOP I was still under the management variable so off to a low I went. In 2022, after my revocation hearing, I was transported to Atlanta low, and then because of health issues I was sent to Butner, a medical facility.
Finally at Butner Low I had gotten my act together and did not receive any shots that stuck. I did 15 months on 24 and again left under First Step Act.
