My son got 90 years and he was 18. His attorney that told him to pleas, shot himself in head in May of this year. He was on drugs and was ineffective in his assistance of counsel. I keep trying to help him. Complained to the Florida bar a year ago. When I tried to contact the bar, they didn’t investigate my complaint due to it not being in PDF format. That’s how I found out about the attorney who killed himself. My son was dating a girl who was 4 years younger. She slepted with his best friend and he said he was role playing. Either way 90 years is just so cruel. It is State of Florida not federal. I tried to get him help but for one motion it’s 20k. I asked for appointment of public defender 3 or 4 years ago and denied.
