Although it’s a risky proposition, Federal Prison Tips LLC does offer Federal Prison Consulting to non-touch S.O’s and digital offenders.

Just like with every other kind of charge there are different degrees of sexual offense, however all sexual offenders are just lumped together. When you get behind the fence the small time marijuana dealer and the big time methamphetamine dealer travel in different circles, get different amounts of time and are looked at under two different lights. Why isn’t it the same for the sexual offender.

Personally, everyone knows my story, I had a rather widely publicized white collar case however I met some people, some good people that got messed up by no fault of their own.

The first was my 20 year old roomate who at the time of his arrest was 18 and he got in trouble for taking provocative pictures with his then 17 year old girlfriend, a minor. They should have been covered by “romeo and juliet” laws, however since they decided to “sext” with photos and videos it then became a production charge. Obviously this young man, who will wear the scarlet S.O. badge his whole life, is not the “child molester” that most people consider a “chomo”.

Another person I was close to in Federal Prison was someone who had downloaded a batch of adult pornography that happened to have some teenagers mixed in. Is this person a “chomo” no-no.

As the father of a 17 year old daughter I would have probably gone to prison earlier had someone touched my little girl, but neither of these charges are molesting children.

D.O. or digital offender, which would be the description of the second scenario, is a term that’s being thrown around Washington DC by the likes of Senator Cory Booker and Congressman Hakim Jeffries, both of whom are staunch supporters of prison reform.

Perhaps the public as a whole needs to realize that these types of offenders are not the dangerous child touchers that should be chemically castrated (like they’re doing in Louisiana) and civilly committed for life.
