With nearly 2 decades of major market radio experience and the successful launch of media sites like thedroidguy.com (the first ever consumer facing Android website in the world), nibletz.com (the voice of startups everywhere else) and Federal Prison Tips LLC, I have always been encouraged to do a podcast. With my own media experience I was ripe for the occassion but I’ve told anyone who would listen that since getting out of Federal Prison I was looking for the absolute right opportunity to launch into podcasting. That opportunity is here.
I’ve joined South Florida Based “Beyond The Narrative” a multimedia company with a top notch production studio in beautiful South Florida.
Beyond The Narrartive takes a look “beyond the narrative” at politics, pop culture, sports, current events and now crime and punishment. As the host of Beyond The Narrative: Crime and Punishment I will be bringing a top notch mix of true crime, current event true crime, and stories about punishment, with a twist that has been even the ethos of Federal Prison Tips and that is a focus on redemption.
Our guests are ripped from the headlines, not just anyone who’s been to prison with war stories and a pulse. We will take a look at some of the biggest names in true crime, discuss their crime, their time and their redemption.
We have some amazing guests lined up for January and February and to kick it off my first guest is Saransh Sharma, a young Indian man with a successful background who even participated in the structure and sale of the world famous Plaza Hotel. Things fell off the rails for Sharma in 2012 and he ended up selling over $3 million dollars of Twitter stock which in his own words “didn’t exist”. Sharma’s story made national headlines as Twitter was going public. In prison, according to the likes of infamous Federal inmates like Nevin Shapiro and Kevin Trudeau, Sharma made “the best prison pizza”.
His story of redemption includes the creation and selling of a multi-million dollar PPE Company, a logistics and trucking company and now a complete social commerce company and app that bridges e-commerce, logistics and the social media we know and love.
